GOP THE MUSICAL

THE CONCEPT
GOP THE MUSICAL is a series of parody music videos that tells the story of the upcoming election from the GOP points of view.
It will be structured like a Broadway Play with 10 or so songs per act.
The songs will be “top 100 video” hits that will be parodied using new visuals and rewritten with new lyrics.
THE STORY
We open on a fresh faced young republican filled with hope that the tyranny of Obama is coming to an end. If only the GOP can unite.
Through the 1st Act we follow the up and down battle of the debates and primaries, culimating in the GOP CONVENTION at the Act break.
Act 2 opens where we left off. A nominee is chosen.
The end is election night.
THE STYLE
These two videos capture the style.
THE MUSIC
The songs will be recognizable hits for the millennial audience. We're researching the music rights at this time. By changing the lyrics and parodying the visuals from the music videos we will qualify for parody rights.
THE CAST
We will cast comedians who can imitate the candidates and major players in the election saga.
The YOUNG REPUBLICAN will be played by Lucas Grabeel.

THE TYRANNY'S OVER - adapted from Macklemore's CAN'T HOLD US and sung by a hopeful Young Republican and laced with lyrics about the GOP fear and loathing of the world Obama has left them. The final lyrics are: LET'S UNITE
